I am a native Californian, born in Hollywood, who moved away from the state in 1984 to continue my upper division education and start my professional career.  Twenty six years later, after living in London and several USA cities, I decided to return to California and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. 

 

Suddenly I found himself unemployed in March of 2015.  Ten months later, I fortunately landed a good job.  During my job search period I decided to become a serious photographer.  I always owned a camera but was afraid to stop using the fully automatic setting. 

 

A new camera and printer were purchased, and several days were devoted to learning how to use lightroom and photoshop.  I practiced taking pictures everyday to become more comfortable with how to use my camera and digital darkroom software.

 

All the years I spent as a street mime came in handy.  I have the ability to anticipate street moments and be there with my camera as they happen, and to take photos without being noticed or upsetting people.

 

The most important thing is that I am having fun and learning something new.  Let's see where this new passion leads me.
